Urgent DHL Notice to Latin Area shipment

Latin Area mostly referring to Brazil, Chile, Agentina, Ecuador

Dear Latin Customers,

DHL is often used to ship to Latin area, however we recently feedback bad experience with them.

We have shipped packages to Chile and Brazil this month. The Result is so bad.

To Chile customer :

    A doll declared 200 USD as customer requested. He's willing to pay for the taxes. The package shipped out safely.

    When it reached Chile customer's door with DHL courier man, they charged 170 USD for the custom taxes!! DHL courier man said the invoice of the package is 340 USD instead of 200 USD...End up Customer painfully paid for the taxes...But What's more, the doll's hand and the back of the head were broken. TaobaoSpree finally had seller agree to offer free new part of the doll. free part will be sent with next order shipment.

To Brazil Customer:

    A woman jacket worth around 12 usd, we wrote on the custom invoice declear 10 USD (as customer requested).

    The packeag shipped out from China port safely. In a few days later, it reached Brazil. Anyhow, the customer got a bill stated it's 100 usd for the taxes. She refused to pay for such high taxes and DHL have to destory the jacekt(Not sure if have the destory fee afterwards...)

From above cases, you might wonder why the invoice value increased so much. The reason might because of the desitination custom think the package isundervalued, they marked the price they "think" fair and reasonable. 

We are sorry about such things happened, however, taobaospree is not able to control what custom wants to do. Wef eel helpless about such situation. 

For those Latin customers, we suggest to go Fedex as we heard better than DHL. However, Fedex shipping price is 2-3 tims than DHL.

We've hard in Latin Area Airmail is better than EMS, airmail is cheaper and slower but faster pass the custom; Ems is expensive and faster but have more custom problems. You need to be aware that China Post speed of package might be 1-3 months waiting...

We hope can get more information about how to get safer and faster way to Latin Area.
